Join Confident Captain/Ocean Pros for Women on the Water, a special two-hour Premium Seminar taught by women for women, sponsored by Safe/Sea Marine Rescue. Led by an experienced female captain, this course is designed for women of all experience levels—whether you are just getting your feet wet or you have a few seasons under your belt. The Women on the Water program will cover navigation basics, rules of the road, docking and maneuvering, emergency procedures, safety, and much more. There will be plenty of opportunities for participants to have their questions answered in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Become a More Confident Boater
The success of the Women on the Water program comes from helping students build their confidence: Confident Captain/Ocean Pro instructors make students feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable. This comfort level enables students to feel free to ask questions and address topics that may cause anxiety or fear in a safe, supportive environment. The professional instructors at Confident Captain have found that women will achieve boating confidence faster in an all-women program than in a traditional course setting and are proud to offer this innovative program at this year’s Providence Boat Show.
Confident Captain/Ocean Pros is a Rhode Island-based maritime training facility dedicated to providing the best possible training, service and consultation for all mariners—be they recreational boaters, U.S. Captains, or Yachtmasters. Confident Captain/Ocean Pros is also a training site for US Powerboating, the national leader in on-the-water powerboat training and education.
“Women on the Water” participants will receive a Confident Captain course-completion certificate and free refreshments. Sponsor Safe/Sea Marine Rescue is the leading provider of on-the water boat towing services and marine salvage services for recreational boaters in Rhode Island.
The seminar takes place at the Providence Boat Show, on Saturday, February 4th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The $45 ticket price includes your Saturday admission to the show.
Take part in this special training session for women to gain the knowledge you need to net more enjoyment from your time on the water this summer.
