There are Lots of Great Reasons to Visit Providence

Devils-vs-Bruins

There are lots of great reasons to plan a visit to Providence the first weekend in February.

At the Providence Boat Show (February 3-5), you’ll see the latest in boats and gear, attend free seminars, and enjoy the activities and social life at our indoor pool. But you can also combine a boat show visit with some of the other happenings taking place during boat show weekend. Read on for a few ideas…

Fun for Sports Fans: The Providence Bruins will play the Springfield Thunderbirds at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Friday night, starting at 7:05 pm. So come put a few hours in at the show, then head nextDevils-vs-Bruins door to the game!

Get $5 off your ticket for Friday’s game here. And if you plan to spend the weekend in Providence, catch the P-Bruins on Friday, then take advantage of our P-Bruins Discount on boat show tickets all weekend. Just present your P-Bruins ticket stub at the gate.

Shop & Dine: Providence has some great restaurants, and if you come to the boat show, you can get discount coupons for some of the city’s top eateries thanks to Go Providence. Make sure you stop by their table near the Anchor Bar to get some great deals on fine cuisine.

First worksCultural Events: From modern dance, to jazz, to live comedy, you’ll find a lot of great cultural events taking place during boat show weekend. Check out the calendar at Downtown Providence to see the list.

There are even performances for kids, like the Providence Children’s Museum interactive comedy   “No Time to Waste” on Saturday and Sunday–which takes a lighthearted look at the three R’s of protecting the environment: reducing, reusing and recycling.

Your family can divide and conquer and head to different events, or make a weekend of it and combine some boat show time with arts & culture.

Spend Your Pre-Game Sunday with Us: The boat show closes early on Sunday, so there’s plenty of time to start your pre-game celebration at the boat show, then head home to catch the Big Game. We’ll be serving Oysters and Bloody Marys at the boat show on Sunday morning to start your day off right!
